During his storied career, Kewho has worked with multiple organizations, both global and domestic, and has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues in the process.

Because of his decades of wisdom, Kewho loves to share his thoughts and insight in the accounting industry so that he may pass his wisdom on to younger generations. This interview will highlight some of Kewho’s thoughts on the industry and professional practices.

Q: What excites you most about the accounting industry?

Kewho Min: I think what excites me most about the accounting industry is the ability to completely change someone’s life with a few simple number crunches and mathematical equations. When people or businesses come to me and seek assistance, they are usually a bit nervous. No one wants to lose money. So if I can assist people and offer advice on how to improve their financial situations, then that’s a win in my book.

Q: What are some exciting tech trends in accounting?

Kewho Min: There seems to be a bigger focus on utilizing software for accounting needs. Also cloud computing, which is phenomenal. We can share our information, records and financial information with clients and business partners in real time. It’s a blessing.

Q: What advice would you give to accounting majors?

Kewho Min: Focuson your studies, and don’t wait for the “right moment” to start working or look for a job. Start doing what you want to. Look for semi-professional or professional opportunities to flex your accounting skills. Ask to file your family’s and friends’ taxes. Do something that can give you direct experience. It’ll give you a leg up on the competition.

Q: Any hobbies outside of your professional career?

Kewho Min: Of course! Mainly I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports and enjoying the sights and sounds of New York City. Whenever I have a free moment, I like to be with my family, either traveling the world or taking the subway. I also enjoy watching the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees.
